Hermès Oran Cleaning & Restoration in Dubai
An open sandal worn in a hot climate is a specific problem. The footbed absorbs, the sole thins, and the H strap holds its shape only as long as the leather stays fed. Cleaned, restored, and resoled in-house.
Request an AssessmentWhat Goes Wrong, and What We Do About It
- Darkened Footbed
- The most common complaint we see. Foot oils and perspiration absorb straight into untreated leather, leaving a permanent-looking shadow in the shape of the foot. Caught early it lifts substantially. Left for years, it becomes part of the shoe.
- Thinning & Worn Soles
- Leather soles wear through at the ball and heel long before the upper shows age. We resole with matched leather, preserving the original profile rather than fitting a generic replacement.
- H Strap Stretching
- The cutout strap loosens and loses definition as the leather dries out. Reconditioning restores flexibility; where the stretch is structural, the strap can be tightened and reset.
- Suede Scuffing & Flattening
- Suede Orans mark instantly and flatten under pressure. Brushed, lifted, and recoloured where needed, without the shine that comes from over-treating.
- Edge Paint Loss
- The painted edging chips away with wear, leaving a raw line around the sole and strap. Re-edged and sealed to match the original colour.
- Exotic & Special Finishes
- Lizard, croc, and metallic Orans need a different hand entirely. Treated under our exotic leather process, not the standard calfskin one.
An honest note: a footbed that has darkened over several summers will improve, but it will rarely look new again. We would rather tell you that at the assessment than take the work and disappoint you at collection.

FAQs
How long does a typical service take?
Most non-membership services are completed within 7–14 days, depending on the type of work involved. Members receive priority turnaround as part of their tier. Express service is available for an additional fee if you need your piece back sooner.
Is it safe to clean or restore exotic skins like crocodile or ostrich?
Yes. Exotic skins require specialist handling, and our team has restored crocodile, ostrich, and other exotics for years. Each piece is assessed individually before any work begins.
What's the difference between a membership-credit clean and a paid restoration?
A membership-credit clean uses one of your monthly allowances and covers standard exterior care. A paid restoration — colour work, structural repair, or anything beyond a standard clean — is billed separately, at a discounted rate for members.
What happens if my item needs more work than originally quoted?
We'll always contact you before doing any work beyond what was originally quoted, so nothing is added to your invoice without your approval.
Do you offer pickup and delivery?
Yes — door-to-door collection and delivery is complimentary across Dubai on orders over AED 600. For the rest of the UAE, GCC, and worldwide, we arrange courier pickup and delivery on request.
